Our SLAs ensure that your company always has the best experience when working with Qencode. Please review our definitions below for more information on SLA calculations.
Available Minutes is the total number of minutes that a given Project can potentially use during a billing month.
Usage Minutes is the sum of all Minutes used by a single Project used during a billing month.
Downtime is the total accumulated Usage Minutes when the Cloud Encoding service is unavailable. A minute is considered unavailable for a given Project if the Project has no External Connectivity during that minute.
Monthly Uptime for the Cloud Encoding service is calculated as Available Minutes less Downtime divided by Available Minutes in a billing month for a given Qencode Project.
Companies are facing an explosion in file and data set sizes and volumes and are turning to high value scale out data processing and storage in the Cloud to support this massive growth. Aspera provides several solutions specifically designed to move big data to, from and across cloud infrastructure fast, securely and predictably.
The performance limitations of ubiquitous transfer applications such as FTP or HTTP are a direct result of the inherent bottlenecks of TCP, the traditional protocol used to reliably transfer data over IP networks. Aspera’s patented technology brings true meaning to high-performance digital transport by simply eliminating the bottlenecks of TCP and delivering maximum transfer speed regardless of network conditions and transfer distance. With bulletproof security and reliability built-in, Aspera software provides users with unprecedented bandwidth management allowing for sophisticated transfer prioritization and automatic protection of other IP traffic.

Leading companies across multiple industries are bringing high-performance transport capabilities to their products, systems and services by building upon Aspera’s open architecture SDK.
Aspera’s innovative FASP™ protocol is providing superior file transfer capabilities to a variety of solutions, including specialized digital asset and media management systems, high-performance storage, cloud services, integrated media platforms, workflow and automation engines, high-speed file delivery tools, leading media production and transformation software, video management and publishing platforms and more.
The FASP protocol also provides comprehensive built-in security model that does not compromise transfer speed. Based on open standards cryptography, it provides SSH end-point authentication, on-the-fly data encryption (with the option to store files encrypted on the receiver’s end), and data integrity verification that protects against man-in-the-middle, re-play, and UDP denial-of-service attacks.
FASP enables large data set transfers over any network at maximum speed, source disk to destination disk, regardless of network conditions or distance. For example, over gigabit WANs with 1 second RTT and 5% packet loss, FASP achieves 700-800 Mbps file transfers on high-end PCs with RAID-0 and 400-500 Mbps transfers on commodity PCs. Large data sets of small files are transferred with the same efficiency as large single files. The implementation is very lightweight, and thus does not require specialized or powerful hardware in order to maintain high speeds or high concurrency.
